Ben Barnes looks forward to Voyage of the Dawn Treader filming

Ben Barnes, who we all know plays Caspian in Prince Caspian, is excited to move on to filming his favorite book in the series.

Barnes plans to return to Narnia mid-year when the third movie in the series, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, is filmed on the Gold Coast.

Although Prince Caspian made less money than its predecessor The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Barnes points out that it was still one of the world’s top 10 grossing films of 2008.

“I am looking forward to (the next one) because I had a brilliant time doing the first one,” he says. “Voyage of the Dawn Treaderis the best (book), so hopefully the potential is there for an even better film.”

  1. He has a good point about it being prince Caspian being one of the top ten grossing films of 2008 and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader is my least favorite book in the series. But I bet the film is still going to be great.

  2. I totally agree saying The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is the best of the seven books….its so good, i cant wait to watch it!

  3. I loved the first two movies and can’t believe Disney canned the franchise!
WHat happened to Andrew Adamson, the brilliant director of the first two?
I love the Voyage–my favorite book of the series, too. Can’t wait to see what they do with Eustace as a dragon!!!

  4. I really liked the voyage of the dawn treader, it was the best that a have read! I just hope Disney does not ruin it with cheeseyness!!! Because all of the big FANS such as myself know that there was nothing between Caspian and Susan in the movie: Prince Caspian !!!! I can’t believe they did that! because in the voyage of the dawn treader Caspian is supposed to merry some dudes child !!!they never mention her name! but that’s just in the book!

  5. I’m so excited! When I read the book, I liked it as well as the others! (I can’t choose my favorite) And my favorite part about it is that it is so based on the Bible! Props to Walden Media for keeping this up, even though Prince Caspian didn’t gross as much! It was still a GREAT movie! (In my opinion slightly better than the first!)
