Dawn Treader Spy Report – Inside the Studios

NarniaFans Spy ‘Chris’ sent us this report:

A friend of mine who was working as an extra on the set of Dawn Treader took this photo at Warner Roadshow Studios. It was taken with a camera phone and the quality isn’t that good. It features the Dawn Treader set with Water Cannons.

It’s not too much different than photos we’ve seen of the Dawn Treader outside. One thing that really surprised me were the lights. So extremely bright in an attempt to recreate the same lighting that comes naturally outside. This leads me to believe they were shooting some day light scenes that required large ‘waves’ for the Dawn Treader to move through.

“There once was a boy named Eustace Clerance Scrubb and he almost deserved it”

  3. looks like the same hydraulic set up as Pirates of the Caribbean had for At World’s End. if so theyll have really awesome effects!

  4. maybe they have the light for the bit where they are near the end of the world and it’s really really bright?

  5. Is that the same ship they build outside or is that a different one, I mean did they have to build another one for the studio?

  6. That is sooooo kewl:)

It is sad that shooting is about over:(

But this means that narnia 3 is getting closer to being done and hitting the big-screens:) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. You mentioned “At Worlds End”. Let’s just hope the pirates that attack the Dawn Treader aren’t on their way to World’s End, to save witty Jack, and him precious Pearl! Actually, that would be cool!

  8. Well I have to say I am 40 years old and when I was growing up I never did allot of reading. However the one set of books I did read where these ones. I loved the first two films and can’t wait for this one but I must say my favourite book is the magicians nephew. So please make that film I’m sure every one would love to see how it all began and keep up the good work.
