I'm doing great! Glad to just be back.. the forum had changed so much recently. It's lonelier than I thought...hmm
Happy birthday, dear modly mod! :D Though, perhaps tdl is telling me a bit early because facebook hasn't told me a thing...
    Hi,
I am soliciting favorite quotes for a 2015 Narnian Quote Calendar collaboration project. If you have a chance, please post some of your favorite quotes from any of the Chronicles of Narnia to that thread. Thanks!
I've been trying, but my internet isn't cooperating. The connection isn't strong enough or something.
Have you seen the "Landscape Architects" advertisements filling a quarter of the forum screen?
I have never in my life had an e-mail address even remotely resembling "aasok." So I can't begin to guess how my name could have come to be pasted onto any such address.
    Hi Roger,
I would like to cordially invite you to post your ideas for the Narniopoly project I've started...
It's coming along nicely, thanks. I've actually finished it, and am now typing it up. That's my first editing pass. Then I print it out and read and reread it, to catch typos and clumsy wordings.
Please look at the "Jump At" thread in Writing Club. Its own originator agrees that it should be in a different section.
The resignation is atypical, but it doesn't surprise me that he's judged himself unable to continue the task. I think a major factor is that modern health care enables us all to live well past our truly productive years, but posts like the papacy expect strength and leadership to the end. I have no way of knowing, but I wonder if he remembers the last years of JPII, when that great pontiff's Parkinson's was rending him incapacitated. Word was flying in many circles of a Vatican adrift. Perhaps B16 doesn't want to see that happen.
Shocked, stunned. Benedict XVI is stepping down? I'm reminded of the old Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times."
