Why I think Dawn Treader will be the last Narnia movie made.

VDT has certainly been a success in my circle of influence. Almost all of the families at my church have gone to see the movie! :)

Today, I spoke with a girl in my youth group, who went to see VDT with her three siblings and cousins. They always go to see a movie together on Christmas Eve, and I had enthusiastically recommended Dawn Treader. She thanked me for recommending it over Tron, and said that she and her cousins all really liked it. :)

Yeah, I think fans of the series were only worried because it didn't do well opening weekend. I a lot of people I talked to saw/ are going to see it after the first or second week of its release. I saw it on Dec. 10th and just last Friday so I think it had a bigger effect after a little while. A lot of people I talked to loved the movie. Except my brothers girlfriend, who had a phobia of 3D, but she liked the actual movie part, haha if that makes sense.

I don't think they were wrong to be concerned, I was one of them, ;) but I think it's safe to say that Silver Chair will likely be made. :) The movie has done pretty well, better than PC in some countries! It's results have been pretty impressive, given how bad PC was, and how many people no longer trust the moviemakers. >.<

The box office results on Narniafans.com are 94,680,000. It may reach 100,000,000 this week! :)

In my opinion, VOTDT made up for PC not being successful. I really hope they continue the series. It's hard to say whether or not it'll continue. I think it depends on how the other movies do.

It hasn't even made what PC did yet! How does that make up for it? I don't want to be a downer, but I don't understand what you mean.

I've heard great reviews of VOTDT and tons of people say it was better than PC financially, at least from my state.

But, mostly it's just my opinion. :)

This thread aged well.

For a while it seemed like there wouldn't be, then there would be a Silver Chair film, and now we know there won't (at least until we see what Netflix is doing). While I am sad that we're getting a reboot that will start from scratch with EVERYTHING, I am happy to have been able to see them do stuff with this trilogy, and I feel like the end voice-over, and credits of Dawn Treader were a beautiful way to wrap everything up as a trilogy, even though the story didn't really end there.
