I don't remember this being specified in the book or the movie so I am not sure if it was obvious or I actually did miss it. I was thinking about this recently how the telemarines invaded Narnia, didn't like the creatures of Narnia and if they came across them they probably would have killed them. When Lucy asked Aslan if she could have stopped what happened I was thinking how could she stop them from dying of old age and then I thought, maybe the telemarines did search and destroy on the narnians. Hopefully not Mr. Tumnus or the Beavers. But, the telemarines were told the narnian woods were haunted so I am not sure they would venture into the woods and go through all of Narnia to do search and destroy.
