Narnia series coming to Epiphany this month

Parish of the Epiphany invites fans of theologian C.S. Lewis’ popular tale, “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” to enter the wardrobe-literally-and discover the magic of Narnia for themselves. I believe this is in Massachusetts, correct me if I’m wrong.

“Finding God in Narnia,” a four-week discussion series for all ages, will be offered at Parish of the Epiphany to help participants think critically about the theology in the story prior to seeing the film.

Through discussions led by the Professor himself, children, teenagers and adults will be equally challenged to see the relevance of Lewis’ works to their own daily lives, and to jointly consider whether Narnia is simply a wonderful fairy tale or an allegory that reveals deeper spiritual truths. The class will meet every Sunday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Hadley Hall at Epiphany, 70 Church St., from Nov. 13 to Dec. 4. On Dec. 11 there will be a group trip to see the film, followed by an optional “Hollywood debriefing” session on Sunday, Dec. 18.

The course is free and open to the public but pre-registration is requested; call the church office at 781-729-1922.
