Prince Caspian Shooting in New Zealand, more!

Thanks to “TheWhiteWolf”, and a site called “The Technos Guild,” we can confirm that Prince Caspian will be shot in Auckland, New Zealand during February and March 2007. After shooting wraps in New Zealand, filming moves for a heftier four months of production in Prague, Czech Republic. We’re not sure if the shoot will move to Ireland, as was rumor.

Prince Caspian is filming under the pseudonym “Toastie.” The Prince Caspian production company is named “Wimbleweather Ltd” after one of the characters in the story, a Giant. The film pseudonym is a stark contrast to the one used for LWW: One Hundred Year Winter. This is more than likely because of the change in setting for the story. The Production Company name suggests a huge project is to be filmed. Pretty exciting stuff, as it gives us some definite hints at what is to come.

Here’s what it says on a New Zealand site:

Toastie
Format: 35mm Feature Film
Dates: February – March 2007 (NZ Sector)
Location: Auckland and Prague
Production Co: Wimbleweather Ltd
Director: Andrew Adamson

This is in line with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, which was filmed under the titles: One Hundred Year Winter and Paravel. It filmed in various locations in New Zealand and the Czech Republic.
