Narnia Exhibition opens May 22 at Kansas City’s Union Station

The brilliant Narnia: The Exhibition is opening this spring in Kansas City at the Union Station. Tickets are on sale now at the Union Station’s Narnia Exhibition website.

The Exhibition was created by the Becker Group in association with Walden Media and Walt Disney Pictures. Union Station is attempting to put a greater emphasis on mixing theatricality with education, and this exhibit is a big piece of that with it’s emphasis on the science behind Narnia. Officials at Union Station, including CEO George Guastello, want to put more emphasis on families and education. They hope for 70-80,000 visitors to the attraction, which runs from May 22 – August 23.

Kansas City is the third venue for the Exhibition, and the only one in the Midwest that the tour will be visiting (so far). The Exhibition is nearing the end of a 20-week run at The Franklin in Philadelphia. The Exhibition’s run in Philadelphia was said to have attendence dramatically below expectations, according to Marketing Coordinator Anna Gary, blaming both the current economy as well as a lower concentration of Narnia fans in the region.

At the exhibit, you’ll see props and costumes from the movies, as well as have an opportunity to sit in the White Witch’s icy throne! It’s a magical tour through Narnia that is spaced out over 10,000 square feet of space, and it is well worth attending!

Tickets are $9 for children 3-12, $14 for 13 and older and $7 for Union Station members and groups.
