Dawn Treader Wharf (Castle) Set at The Spit

We’ve finally got a picture of the castle set from the other side of the it. Turns out the castle is actually a wharf, and a mighty wharf indeed. I’m impressed. It’s a very well designed wharf, though it has a lot of work left to go, and for only a few days of filming, as the article says – only three days. This is typical of filming, however, as that four weeks of work will also amount to only mere moments on screen.

The enchanted land of Narnia has positioned itself at The Spit with a huge wharf dominating the landscape.

The set is almost ready to start filming of the third Chronicles of Narnia installment, said to be titled the Invisible Army.

Location manager Gareth Price said the wharf or ‘quayside’ structure, built from scaffolding, plaster and other set pieces, was due to be finished for filming in three weeks.

It has taken four weeks to build and will be used for just three days of shooting.

Mr Price said details about the film were still shrouded in secrecy but he confirmed boats would be pulling up alongside the wharf.

The article goes on to list the Australia release date of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader on December 9, 2010.
