He was in Australia for seven months playing the part of Eustace Scrubb in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which will be released this year.
He joins three of the film’s returning characters. Skandar Keynes, who plays Edmund, and Georgie Henley, who plays Lucy, have been in all three of the films, while Ben Barnes, who plays King Caspian, was in the Prince Caspian two years ago.
Will said: “It was nerve-wracking taking on a character who is so well-known. Everyone has a picture of Eustace and how he is.
“Trying to encapsulate that was daunting. I’m sure I haven’t been able to do that but I hope I’ve done my best. I know it’s annoying reading book then seeing a film and being disappointed with the character.”
Skandar and Georgie both gave him advice but he claimed it was too early to know how it will feel to be in such a big movie with so many fans around the world.
He said: “Of course it depends on my performance how I’m taken by the fans. It’s a bit of a worry.”
Will Poulter has nothing to worry about. And if what I’ve seen is any indication, he has a very bright future indeed.
