I’ve known for some time that the junket for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was going to be in London, but who is scheduled to be in attendance is the shocking part to me.
According to an examiner article: “Dawn Treader” stars Liam Neeson, Georgie Henley, Will Poulter and Skandar Keynes and director Michael Apted are scheduled to participate in “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” press junket in London. Douglas Gresham (a stepson of C.S. Lewis and a co-producer of all the “Narnia” films) may or may not be doing interviews at the press junket; his participation has not been confirmed yet.
Missing from that list are a number of people. Ben Barnes and Mark Johnson, who both participated in the Prince Caspian junkets, as well as the credited writers on the film. I’m sure that the final list hasn’t been released, officially, and things can change at any time. When the Caspian junkets were happening, Skandar Keynes skipped because of school work.
It is also the first I’ve heard of Liam Neeson taking part in the press for these films. I would have loved to had the chance to meet him.
That said, I hope that the interviews go well, and I can’t wait to hear stories from them, as I’m not sure that I’ll be able to attend this time around. Perhaps, if they have a U.S. based junket, they’ll get me there, but I’m not counting on it.
