Reviews from Shadowlocked, Melbourne Anglican, and more!

Here are several reviews of the movie from today!

MarshallAndTheMovies reviewed the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and they gave it a B+. Their verdict? “The movie gets its message across clearly but still leaves room for thought and pondering, all while providing great action and entertainment.” You can read the whole article HERE.

ShadowLocked gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars, saying “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is an enjoyable family film that should hold the attention of children as well as accompanying adults no matter what their religious beliefs.” You can read the whole review HERE.

The Anglican Diocese of Melbourne reviewed the movie and were glad to say that “The good news is that this seafaring journey of personal discovery has survived the storms of the 21st century largely intact.” Their article talks a lot about Eustace’s un-dragoning; you can read the whole thing HERE.

Scoop.co.nz reviewed the film’s 3D. As you probably know, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was not shot in 3D. However, after seeing the smashing success of Avatar’s 3D, the producers decided to convert the movie to 3D in post-production. Many people have been worried about the quality of a post-production conversion, but rest assured: “The 3D in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is state-of-the art quality, created during two years of shooting and post-producing the film.” The conversion resulted in “a stunning 3D experience in which the dimensionality of the film matches that of the characters.” You can read the whole article HERE.
