What if Narnia was an animated TV series?
Brazilian artist L. Martin has begun imagining how The Chronicles of Narnia: The Animated Series might look if it was ever made by NETFLIX. This isn’t a real project, but this fan creation is really well done.
Each day L. Martin will release a new character design on his Instagram which we will also be sharing with you here. For each of the seven Chronicles of Narnia books he will be making character posters for the five most important characters from that story. Once all thirty five characters are revealed he will release seven posters that will tease what each season of this hypothetical animated series concept might look like.
CalArts Style
The visual style of this series is often labeled the CalArts style. One animated series I love with a similar visual style is Gravity Falls (now streaming on Disney+). These designs by L. Martin showcase a modern 2D action-adventure cartoon with bold clean linework, stylized geometric shapes, flat cel-shaded coloring, heroic dynamic typography, and expressive character art.
