What if The Chronicles of Narnia was a full animated series? Have you ever pictured what that might look like?
One fan, Brazilian artist L. Martin, has been doing more than just picturing it. He’s bringing it to life with a brilliant fan project, designing character posters for a hypothetical Chronicles of Narnia: The Animated Series. After kicking off his project by imagining the characters from The Magician’s Nephew, he’s now taking us through the wardrobe for a look at what Season Two, based on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, could be.
This isn’t an official Netflix series, but you could have fooled us. The quality and passion behind this fan creation are just that good.
Martin is revealing the five most important characters from each book, and he’s just unveiled the heroes who started it all for so many of us: the Pevensie siblings and Mr. Tumnus! You can follow his daily releases on his Instagram, @MartinVerses, and we’ll be sharing them with you right here.
A Fresh Animated Style
The art style for this series concept feels perfect for a modern Narnia adaptation. It’s a 2D action-adventure look defined by bold, clean linework and stylized geometric shapes that make the characters feel friendly and dynamic. The use of vibrant, cel-shaded coloring gives each design a classic cartoon feel, while the heroic typography and expressive faces make it easy to imagine them embarking on their grand adventure.
Once all thirty-five characters from the seven books are revealed, Martin plans to release seven unique posters, each teasing a different season of his incredible animated concept.
