Professor Kirke to Join the WingFeather Saga Season 4!!!

I’ve had the distinct pleasure this past year to share with you my exclusive film reviews on Angel Studios animated feature films The King of Kings and David. As an independent crowd sourced studio, they continue to push the bar on quality animation and excellent story telling with each of their features. One area where this is clearly felt is their own going animated series The WingFeather Saga, based on the bestselling series by Andrew Peterson.

Featuring animation that’s on par with Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Puss in Boots the Last Wish, and Into the Spider-Verse, with a powerful faith driven story, it’s one of the best shows for families on any streaming service. It has also assembled a stunning multiverse of stars that includes Alkaio Tliele ( Spidey and His Amazing Friends), Henry Witcher (Batman: Caped Crusader), Romy Fay ( The Chosen Adventures), Jodie Benson ( The Little Mermaid), Kevin McNulty ( Pirates of the Caribbean), Henry Ian Cusick ( LOST), Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings) , and David Oyelowo ( Star Wars Rebels).

Now heading into season four, the series looks to gain a voice familiar to Friends of Narnia, as Jim Broadbent, Professor Digory Kirke in the Walden Media adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, will be joining the cast of the Wing feather Saga as Bonifer Squoon, the chief advisor of the High Kings of Anniera.

Considering how much Peterson has acknowledged his love of the works of Tolkien and Lewis it was only a matter of time before a Friend of Narnia joined the cast. With his penchant for playing wise, but slightly eccentric mentors beyond The Chronicles of Narnia such as Harry Potter, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, he’ll make a wonderful edition to the story of the Igiby family.

Season Four of The WingFeather Saga is slated to drop later this year. Look for it on the Angel Studios App.
