Back in 2005, just as the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was releasing, SNL had a skit of “hardcore” rap about Narnia and cupcakes. The video went viral, and helped put YouTube on the map. Last night, Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell performed it live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, with the band The Roots.
Chris Parnell came by the show tonight and agreed to give us the first ever live performance of the SNL hit “Lazy Sunday”! Andy Samberg, The Roots, and the rest of Lonely Island (Akiva Schaffer & Jorma Taccone) joined him for a hilarious and memorable performance:
Haha never saw that one! It’s hilarious!
Thanks for sharing! 😀
I can’t go to the movies without thinking of this song!
I think when the next movie comes out I need to sneak in cupcakes and Dr. Pibb and Red Vines and pay only in 10 dollar bills. I don’t know why I didn’t do that when Prince Caspian came out. Or when I re-saw LWW after this song came out…odd.
Rawr @ Hulu not allowing anyone outside of the U.S. to view their videos.
I was looking forward to seeing this again too, since they hit youtube pretty hard for having it on their site, and made them remove all of the videos of it.
It might work on NBC.com
Hahahaha! XD
Oh. my. goodness. gracious. That made me laugh so hard!
Damm it…
“We’re sorry, currently our video library can only be streamded within the US”
