Favorite race of Middle earth?

Which can be considered a curse as well as a blessing. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the fact that men did die of old age considered a gift and a blessing? and didn't the elves envy it at some point? At any rate one thing I learned from the Sil is that living forever is not always as good as it's said to be... haha....

so what do you guys think of the newest production stills featuring some of the dwarves? I know that there are a lot of people complaining about their beard length. It doesn't bother me. I think they look quite ready for an adventure

I really like all the races (besides orc-kind), but my first favorite is Dunedain, then elves and hobbits make a close second.

I know few who have a deep affinity for Eru's Adopted Children (dwarves). As for the Hobbits, I know all too many who adore those hairy footed people.
