he chuckled and pulled away, "you didn't answer my question."

"I just thought...i might have...um...taken you by surprise?" She said. Then she said, "James, it's probably time for dinner....I mean I'm not really that hungry....But..." Did they have to leave? She definitely didnt want to. She looked at him and smiled and leaned closer to kiss him.

he kissed her gently then smiled, "we probably should go...the others will be looking for us if we don't show up soon."

Hannah smiled and nodded, he was right. She let go of him. Her hand dropped from his hair to his hand and she let him lead her out.

he laced his fingers with hers as they walked to the great hall. everyone was already there as they came up to the table

Hannah lightened her grip on his hand, but still held it, in case he didnt want people to know just yet and looked at him a little nervously.

he felt her fingers loosen from his and he looked at her questioningly. did she want him to let go?

Hannah saw his confusion. She thought maybe it was to her loosening her grip, she supposed he didnt care. She smiled and tightened her grip back and let him lead her in.

he smiled back at her and walked over to the Gryffindor table

Hannah sat down by James and began filling her plate.

Ella saw James and Hannah sit down. "Where have you two been?" She asked. "Your dad has come and gone. Did you see him?"

Hannah shook her head as she looked up at the staff table. Ella had been write his chair was empty.

"he wasn't in his office," James siad also filling his plate, "sorry it took us so long."

Ella hadnt noticed them walk in. "Yeah, what took you guys so long?" She asked.

Hannah flushed a slight shade of pink and smiled at James but didnt answer and looked down at her plate, pushing food around on her plate with one hand and dropping her free hand into her lap.

"we found some really interesting stuff about the wizard wars. and we had a good long chat about some things," he said with a huge smile. he wasn't hiding he jsut didn't know exactly how to come out with it

Ella looked between he and Hannah and remembered how upset she had been the past few days, "Get everything worked out then?" She asked him. She hoped Hannah was feeling better. She seemed to be.



Hannah laughed quietly as she stared down at her food.

"I think so...more or less," James said still smiling

Ella shrugged and turned to talk to Ben.

Hannah had eaten only a little but was full and was now sitting with both her hand in her lap. She turned to James, "You think so?" Hannah said quietly, teasing him.

he reached over, under the table, and took one of her hands, "well i hate to sound cocky," he teased back
