Ella sat in the quiet common room later that night working on their Potions essay. There were only a few people in the common room. She sighed as she wrote about the reasons for using a Sleeping Draught. She wondered where Fred and Ben were.
 
James stepped into the common room and sat down on the couch. he noticed Ella but he didn't know if she noticed him. he watched her silently trying not to break her concentration.

Chloe followed her sister to their next class " I wonder what we learn about today," she said, placing her hands behind her head.


Emily wrote in her note book not being herself " Oh, father why?," she asked herself.
 
Ella looked up and smiled at James, but then Hannah walked in so she went back to working on her essay and waiting for Ben and Fred.

Hannah walked into the common room. She was exhausted from the day. She plopped down in a chair by the fire. Then she noticed James. "Hey James. What have been up to? I have barely seen you this week." Hannah asked him. She had only seen her friend in class.
 
"Class," he said with a shrug, "keeping Al out of trouble," he said with a wavering smile, "Trying to stay out of my fathers shadow." the last coment was very low and quiet.

Ben came down into the common room from the dormitory behind Ella and stood behind her watching her work on her potions essay for a while before saying "You know, you just might be missing an ingredient from that potion." He sat down int he chair beside her, "Do you need me to help you?" He asked.

Vida and Chloe were in the Library, Vida looking up something for their Transfiguration homework and Chloe just browsing the library. Vida knew her sister would want to spend some time just looking around since they hadn't been able to get to the library all week so she'd offered to look up the spells for their homework this time.

Vida laughed as she took half of the pile and set it on the table "Planning on a little light reading this week?" She asked as she picked up the book on the top of her pile, an especially thick volume.
 
Quait again was sitting by the fire just staring into it. It had been a long day…a very long day and even though April had tried to help he felt horrible about what happened at lunch. But April was right, Isla would never take an apology

Ella jumped when Ben said something from behind her. "Yes please!" She said knowing he was a lot better at Potions than she was. "Thank you."
 
April wondered into the common room without Isla, she had left her with someone else who she apparently knew and wondered back to the common room alone.

She sat at a table and pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill and started to try to finish a piece of homework for potions.

She didn't even notice Quait in the corner.
