"I know it must be hard for you." She said still looking down at a book she had pulled out of her bag that sat at her feet. She had barely seen him the last few days, except in class when he was quite.

"oh well," he played with a strand of string, "it is but I'm getting more used to it...most everyone knows and they are getting used to it too...anyway enough about me. how are you?"

Hannah smilied. "I'm doing well." She said. "This Herbology essay isnt too hard. I'm glad dad hasnt assigned anything to difficult yet. Hey by the way," Hannah said and looked around to make sure everyone was out of earshot, however there was a guy on the chair next to them. So she said, "Do you happen to have certain items with you this year?" She asked about the Mauraders Map and Invisibility Cloak.

A mischeviouse smile crossed his lips and he nodded, "Uncle Gorge made me bring them. After all the work he went through to smuggle them out of the house..." he winked and nodded again, "Yah I brought them."

"Fine." Isla agreed. "Truce." She'd have much rather dueled this out than end with a stupid truce. "Goodnight. I'll see you in the morning."

Quait nodded. he had wanted to teach her a lesson and if it hadn't been for the peace keeping of April he would have. he walked up the stairs and flopped down on his bed.

Fred ran down the stairs to the common room as quickly as he could. He looked around and saw Ella coming through the portrait hole. He rushed over to her. "Hey Ella. Are you up for some wandering around the castle tonight?" He asked quietly so no one else would hear.

Ella thought for a second and saw Fred's impatient face growing even more impatient by the second. "Oh ok. I suppose I will." She replied smiling and rolling her eyes.

"Great. Have you seen Ben?" He asked.

"Not since herbology. Want help looking for him?" She asked. When he said 'sure' they left the common room and went to find Ben.

Ben was hurrying up the steps in the entrance hall as Fred and Ella were coming down them looking for him. He was carrying the Daily Prophet and when he saw Fred he handed it over to him and pointed to the article on the front page. Ella leaned in to read the article as well.

Above the article was a picture of what was quite obviously a wizard family's house that was practically demolished. The house wasn't familiar and didn't give them any idea of why Ben would look so worried so they looked down to the article.

It read:

Mysterious Dark Wizard Outbreak

Yesterday afternoon former minister of Magic Rosalind Lightwick returned to her house in the country after a meeting with former Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt to find out that in her absence it had been ransacked. Apparently whoever searched her house had not been looking for her but for something they thought she had.

When questioned Lightwick only said she hoped they hadn't taken her china tea set and seemed to be taking it very lightly.

But no matter how lightly our former leader may take this this reporter suspects that it is an outbreak of Dark Wizards wanting revenge for how much damage Lightwick did to their attempts to infiltrate the ministry seven years ago. The Wizarding World would be wise to take my advice and be very cautious around suspicious looking magical people.

continued on page 5

Fred handed the newspaper to Ella so she could finish reading it without even looking at the rest of the article. "Come on Ben, it's probably just this reporter acting up, she sounds like another Rita Skeeter to me."

"I know, I wouldn't have taken it so seriously either if it weren't for the way Lightwick handled it."

"What? She didn't seem to think it was anything important at all."

"That's just the point, you remember Lightwick, I read about her when I was researching former Ministers of Magic, if she thought this was just a prank or just some thief looking for valuables she would have had aurors there as soon as she'd seen the damage. But she just acted like it was nothing important, which means she probably is hiding something Dark Wizards would want."

"Okay, apparently dark wizards want something a former minister of magic has, I still don't see why this should affect us."

"Because of that last comment about Dark Wizards seeking revenge. If any Dark Wizards go looking for revenge where's the next place they'll look for it after a minister of Magic?"

It suddenly dawned on Fred and Ella both what Ben was getting at. Any Dark Wizard would know that the best place to find experts at Dark Wizard catching would be at the Potter's or the Weasley's house.

"I know it may just be the Reporter overreacting, but what if it isn't?"
