Maria looked at James pleadingly. "James, what's going on?" A lonely tear fell down her cheek. "Please tell me Elizabeth isn't..." She couldn't say it.

Maria reached down to Elizabeth. "No! No...Elizabeth, grab my hand. Please, let's get you out of here. Our parents are probably worried sick." She had to try extremely hard not to cry, but it was no use. Tears rolled freely down her cheeks.

Elizabeth reached for Maria's hand, but still couldn't get up.
"I can't reach" she cried.

Maria wouldn't give up. She reached as far as she could, but reached a little too far. She fell down with a scream and landed on Elizabeth with a painful thud She gasped, and looked at James. "I thought you said only ghosts could be in here."

"You..." She put her hands over her face and shook her head. How did this happen? What's going on? She thought. She looked back up at James. "Okay then...how did it happen. How is it that one moment I'm walking around, right at rain, and the next I'm dead? How did I die? Where's my body? Answer me that!" She said these things mockingly, but really asked them as reasurance for herself.

ic: James smiled. "Silly girl, your body is in this room in another demention. You are dead because you fell, causing you to fall in here. And I don't know why so please may I have my book back?"
 
Maria's blood, if she had blood, was boiling. "Get your book yourself you slithering snake!" She clenched her teeth and stared at James with fire in her eyes.
