Maria heard Heidi and Elizabeth screaming outside. She stumbled out, still a little dizzy. "What's going on? Why are you two fighting?"

"Its nothing." she told her.

Maria said, "It doesn't sound like nothing." Then remembering James, she looked at Heidi. "Oh. I think I get it now." She paused, thinking of a way to change the subject. "Elizabeth, how's your ankle?"

"no, you don't." Elizabeth thought to her self.

"Almost seems worse, but I'm fine." she said rubbing her eyes.
 
Maria ran a paper towel under some cold water, then put it on Elizabeth's ankle. "Here, this should help. I don't think you should walk on it."

Maria sighed. "That's true. Well...maybe you should stay off of it for a while at least. Let it rest a bit. Actually, we should all probably rest. A break from all this madness would be well welcome." She sat down next to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth didn't feel like fighting this, so she just sat there with her face turned away, so Maria couldn't see her tears.
