I really like that Emma too, the BBC version doesn't look near as good, but then, looks can be deceiving. My favorite Austen is "Emma" (Gweneth Paltrow version).
Does the BBC Pride and Prejudice have any bad words?
I think the P&P might have had a few swear words in it. I remember they said "Good God" a couple times (like in Emma), and I think that Wickham might have sworn (I wouldn't put it past him). Honestly though, beyond that I don't remember. I'm pretty sure that if there is, it's nothing severe, because I'd have been more likely to remember it.
Oh, I'm sorry that you didn't like it. I think that I'm still going to see it sometime, but on the understanding that it isn't history and just a enjoyable (hopefully) movie.Yeppers.They tell me message is too short. Why is it too short? I want to cry.
On the subject of Persuasion. (We weren't, but anytime is a good time to talk about it! ) The Jane Austen Centre in Bath is having an exhibit of the costumes from the movie. Very fun to check out.

Now if only England weren't so insufferably far away!
