I wasn't sucking up. It's sorta an inside joke. :D At my house, 'wonderful' amounts almost to an insult. :D

So, somebody wants to know what it's like to be a mod, eh? What it's like to roam the wastelands of RPG threads you otherwise wouldn't visit without a speargun to your head? What it's like to have to wade through posts to see who did what to who first? What it's like to have to chase an argumentative member across forums and debate whether a temporary or permanent ban is best? Hmm?

Lemme tell ya, Buckskin, the life ain't fer everyone, nossir, it ain't fer everyone. There's a lot more to it than hangin' about the mod lounge munchin' oatmeal raisins and tossin' tennis balls at the ban button. Some days ya gotta saddle up early and ride late. It's much more than a job, it's a callin' - a way o' life. Ain't all as is cut out fer it, but fer those as is, there's somethin' special about it. Some days you'd rather chase a badger down it's hole than moderate, but there's those who wouldn't trade it fer nothin'.

At times yes. It does cut the time to post one's thoughts down when duty calls, as well as the time to gab in the So...Who's On Now thread. But as POTW says it's a calling. It's needed. Yeah, it can be difficult. I personally hate it when we have to ban anyone, but whatever is best for the forum is what is needed. People know what they're getting into when they sign up so there's not too much of a defense for anyone who doesn't want to follow the rules...but I still love them. Some people we've banned drive me insane, but I'm determined to love them anyway. Sometimes doing what is best is painful and difficult. It has to happen though. It's an honor to do it though. I can't imagine not having TDL. I just hope that along the way I won't mess up too badly.

I remember you. There is a special thread inkspot created in the Duffer area for older members to come and reminiss some. It's a good one to find. It's great to see so many older members popping on of late! Hope everyone will come back soon. *Hugs to ya*
