She look at him with a smile.
" yes we well and yeah I think I be all right alone for awhile," she said kiss him on the cheek,
" sorry I scared you like that," she said holding her belly.

Despite his brave facade, Chris blushed as Carmen kissed his cheek.
It was the first time she kissed him since she got pregnant.
"It's okay," he stated in a mellow tone of voice. "I guess we are all affected somehow."
After saying this, Chris walked out of the living room and into the hallway. He opened the front door and left, shutting the door behind himself.

Chris wandered up the path a little and sighed to himself.
He needed to unwind. The stench of responsibility was upon him, it hung like a black cloud ready to rain on his parade.
Glancing up at the sky, Chris wondered if he was truely ready to be a father. Here he was, 15, and barely able to figure his own life out.
Clenching his fists, Chris glanced down at the ground.
It was allways him, allways. Ever since...that night.
Chris tried to block it. He hated his past and he hated his own exsistance as a mutant, a freak.

Carmen smile and got up slowly.
" okay just don't be to lone okay," she said before he left the room,
now she was alone for the frist time over since she run away.
she was sixteen and she all ways depindd on someone by her side,
treas came down her cheek every thing was massing up in her life.
claws came out her hands.

Chris was oblivious to all of this, for he was too busy with his own thoughts. Also, he was not with Carmen at the moment.
Chris closed his eyes, a single tear forming in the corner of his left eye. He shed it, a remorseful tear from a bitter memory. It landed on the ground, soon to be absorbed by the earth.

"No son of mine shall be a freak!"

An image of his father flashed before Chris's eyes. A twisted, wrestched face. An angry face that was standing over him, as if he was a child. Which, at the time of the memory, Chris was.

Chris's father had always been a hard man. Hard, but fair. He was a no-nonesense type who controlled his household with an iron fist. Not literally an iron fist, but one of metaphorical sense. One that ruled his household by strict rules.
Chris was only nine when his father first found out Chris was, what he called, a "freak".
Chris did not know any better back then. He believed himself to be a freak and was not very outgoing during the time he was in school.
As he grew older, Chris understood his father hated him. Even Chris hated himself for being...differant.
He became a predator, a bully who picked on other kids so he would not be picked on.
An incident at school soon led him to be kicked out of the school. His father was not happy. Neither was Chris.

Carmen look around standing there with claws out of her hands.
" father why did you make me like this I was fine before you made me..," she said yelling out to no one she was alone at the time,
ice flying every were she didn't know what to do at the time Chris wasn't there to clam her down she put one od her hands shadow fager of her past,
she was to weak she claps on the floor.

Chris opened his eyes. He had enough thoughts of strolling through his past. There was time for it later.
Unclasping his hands, Chris sighed and turned, he began walking back to the house.
As he entered, Chris saw Carmen was on the floor.
He went over to her and knelt beside her.
"Carmen?" he softly asked.

Carmen look up at him.
" don't live again," she said putting her claws away,
slowly getting up she was crying holding on him.
" I don't like being alone Chris"," she said shaking tone.

Carmen look up at him.

He got up as Carmen got up and held her.
"I gathered that," stated Chris drily.
Chris felt miserable, maybe he was moody over the fact he could not put his past behind him. In whatever case, he needed to help Carmen now.

Carmen gently place her hand on his shoulder.
" you promes Chris?," she ask with treas running down her cheek,
" she was scared to say any thing else.
