I've assisted in 2, and it was hard. One was a cat that was only 2 years old (he had feline leukemia and the owners couldn't keep him isolated), and the other was a dog that was fairly old and had a bad injury.
Yep, I'd be assisting. And if the clinic were small enough, I'd probably administer anesthesia, put in breathing tubes, monitor heart rate, etc... the only downsides are: getting bitten/scratched, having to assist with euthanasia.
Yeah, I volunteered last summer at the vet clinic in town, then in the spring at a vet clinic about 10 miles away; we switched to them because they were cheaper and I liked them a lot better. I spent more time with them than the other people and I really enjoyed it. It was a tough and dirty job but I think i'd like it and I'd be good at it.
I'm taking government and history from 1865. I had to drop History in the spring due to the teacher's messed up points system; but I like this history teacher a lot better. I plan on going to this school again in the fall and spring, then I'll transfer to a 4 yr. university, graduate with my bachelor of science, then go to a technical school where I'll hopefully graduate with a degree in applied science; i.e. veterinary technology. I'll basically be a nurse, but to animals instead of people.
I'm okay; things at my church are readily and rapidly going from bad to worse...school is busy. I'm taking 2 online classes and I'm ready for them to be over! You?

School always drives me nuts. But my city is buried under a foot+ a half of snow so I'm hoping school is cancelled on Monday.
