Aww sorry! *hugs* I was in the same boat. We had the soundtrack and everyone else(or so it seemed) had seen it!! We finally saw it on Saturday! :D Yaya!

I'd actually really like to see it again. I didn't think that it was a good as the first one but I think that the second or so time things would become clearer and I might like it better.
At first I was really mad what they did to Will, but the more I thought about it that's really all they could have done. After all, he's the hero and he has to keep his word.
 
yeah really... I guess the filmmakers didn't want it to turn into an entire Will-Elizabeth sapfest.

especially now that Jack is going to be pretty much the entire focus of the series.

Humm I don't think they should do that. Jack and Will and Elizabeth really balanced eachother well and they should keep that. Barbossa should stay too!

Hey do you all recommend getting the novel? It's it worth the $4 or whatever is costs at wally-world?
 
hm, I don't know. I don't have it, but I did look at the POTC stand in Borders a couple weeks ago and skim it for about ten minutes :D it seemed pretty good, but I find those things just can't capture the movie on screen. some of the dialogue might be changed, too.

But as I haven't read it, I don't know for sure.
 
I really wanna see Pirates 3, but I know it's really... like scary... And Pirates 2 was bad enough. I think my parents will let me see it; they don't seem to have a problem with it. But my friends say it's also really sad... *Cries*
 
I havent read it either so I don't know. I think wtahcing the movie was enough for me :)

It is sort of sad. I was glad that we saw it, but everything about the movies is getting so outrageous! I mean, the curse in the first one was a lot more believeable and pirate-ish than those weird sea creatures and the still beating heart and Calypso. I wish they hadn't messed with a good thing.

Although, I'd rather have them fix it than beat them up!
 
^Yeah, most people did. Everyone thinks Will just comes back for the DAY. When I tell them he comes back forever, they just write me off as some romantic person. I'm the only one I know in real life who believes Will comes back for the rest of his life. It's right there if you know what to look for. Even the screenwriters stated on their website that Will is meant to come back forever.

I believe too! But then, I guess I don't really count as real life. :p

I hadn't put it together at first, but then all you wonderful people explained it to me.
 
I hear Geoffrey Ruh might co-direct POTC 4. No Orlando or Keira. A possible TV show. Yeesh. They've exhausted almost every pirate-y resource. Just seal it with AWE, please!
