Sonnets Here, In-House

Oh you made me smile Copperfox. Not that is a difficult state to be in at the moment, but thank you, and God's blessings to you Sir.

I will be saving a copy of that for my memories.

For "Grateful Surrender"--
since I can't remember if I've
written one for her before now

Young lady with such deep thoughts in your head,
I'm glad you're back upon The Dancing Lawn.
I scarcely got a post while you were gone
On my instructive Russian-language thread.

Not that the Russian language is the one
And only subject that we two can share;
You know the roleplay we have done elsewhere,
Which on this very day was lots of fun.

Not many, over such an age divide,
Can talk with me so frankly, and to such
Good purpose, as you do; I thank you much
For being a thought-sharer at my side.

I close my sonnet with an inside joke:
Let's hope Ranjit and Glenda don't go broke!

i like it! you're so good with sonnets! i especially like that you ended it with an inside joke

GS and I have been simultaneously acting out FOUR male-female relationships in one text-based roleplay. In three of these (including as "Ranjit"), I get to be a noble, purehearted good guy (as I also am in a roleplay relationship with Peace Maker). In the fourth, I am an evil, despicable exploiter! :D

For CaspianGirl

I hope your mouth has gotten past the grief
Of bleeding, whose discomfort can be dire,
From sockets where there once were wisdom teeth;
I wouldn't want you missing out on choir,

Or missing out on confirmation class!
It's pleasing that you take to that so well;
The teacher will enjoy so bright a lass,
Whether or not the teacher's your Michelle.

And Sarah, Cee-Eff-Ess-Girl, must be fond
Of you for joining in her praying thread;
You've gradually formed a loving bond
With her, to help her face what waits ahead.

Wherever you may travel, your kind heart
Will make folks miss your face when you depart.
