I see we've got someone on Team Chekov. ^_^

I have to admit, he did have those cute moments that made me feel all giggly. I have a few Chekov screencaps if you'd like to see them. Unless, of course, you already have a lot. I only have a few, because, as my Mom (ultimate Trekkie of the old ones AND likes the new one) predicted, I fell head-over-heels for the logical, smart guy. :rolleyes: I'm even pretty "smitten" with the original one.

The original Chekov was kinda cute, too, but he looks nothing---and I mean nothing---like then new one. My Mom says that a lot of girls liked Chekov when she was a kid, because he looked a little (to me, a LOT) like Davy Jones of the 60s band The Monkees.

Ooh! Please share some! I think I'm getting the DVD for Christmas, so I haven't bought it yet, so I'd love to see some. : )

He's so attractive ... I'm iffy on the old one, I suppose it's just because he's a lot older than Anton Yelchin.
I actually wanted to see the film solely for Anton Yelchin, because he was so attractive. But then my boyfriend (he was probably jealous, hahah) said it was supposed to be really amazing anyway, so we went and it WAS really amazing. (And so was Anton ... hahaha.)

Comparison of the old one and new one. I like the picture of the original here, even though he looks angry. I can't find it on it's own! On the other hand, Anton Yelchin's eyes look beautiful here!

I haven't seen any of the old Star Treks; the ones we have downstairs that are on VCR, and our VCR broke after my younger sister Maeve thought it would be fun to put a PB&J sandwich in the slot (she was four); so I'm not sure how they compare characterwise, but I LOVED the idea of this Chekov being like, a 17 year old whiz kid. I loved the scene where he's like, "I know what to do!" and then Bones goes, "How old are you?" And he's like, "Seventeen," and then Bones is like, " ... " Bwahhaa. Great stuff.
I'm really excited because there are starting to be some really good Anton fansites out there - I found AntonYelchinFan.net through Chris-Pine.org; the site itself is still kind of small, but the gallery has a LOT of really, really good images, particularly photoshoots. Unfortunately all the ones of him smiling are tagged really heavily. : (

Is it just me, or does he kind of look like Skandar Keynes? Skandar has a narrower face, but there's a resemblance, I think.

I heard that he apparently sang in one of his films...? Could you confirm or disprove this? If he did and you saw it, is he a good singer? If he is, I may have to see the movie.

He's in a band. I know that. I feel like I heard somewhere that he sang in a film, but I'm not sure if he did, and even if he did which one it is or if he's very good ... I'll look it up, though!!!

Cool. Being in a band always makes people more interesting. I wonder how I never heard of this guy before Star Trek. Maybe he's just more popular in...I dunno, Russia? XD Probably not. He's just probably in movies my family doesn't frequently take interest in. In fact I know that for sure...I looked on imdb.com because I was wondering if he'd been in anything I'd seen and I just forgot...Only thing on his list I ever saw was (wait for it) Star Trek. Big surprise. XD (...I use XD waaaaaaaay too much. Lol.)

You've got me addicted to staring at this guy. I feel like such a creeper, lol. I went onto his Facebook fanpage and was like, gawking at the pictures like some sort of weirdo. XD (There I go again with XD. It's like an impulse! SDame with lol.)
It's funny, because I find him more attractive just as himself than as Chekov. O_o
I do have a soft spot for cute accents, though. That made me like him a bit when I first saw the new Star Trek. When a guy has an accent, (that isn't American lol) it makes him cuter than other guys immediately. I don't know why, but I find accents irresistible.

I found some pretty decent pictures of him, actually. Not like, hundreds, like I do of Spock. But a few. ^_^

I think he could be a model. Some of the pictures I've seen of him (like the ones posted here) remind me of pinups of models I've seen in my sister's fashion magazines on ads for cologne and other guy stuff one would find in a fashion magazine. I wonder if he ever considered it?
