I took this photo with my Android phone and RetroCamera app about a year ago.

This is late afternoon in California, a couple of hours before sunset. Taken from my 4th floor office in Long Beach, CA.

Taken with Pinhole Camera setting in the Retro app. I have done no editing to the photo whatsoever.

I wuv the witto bunny! And the saying is very true! If you ever eat out with someone important, watch how they treat the servers ... that shows if they really are people of integrity or just notoriety.

Hyper, those are excellent shots of the ice! It looks cold and treacherous to me though.
 
NB, what is FiM? I like all your horsies ...

Here is a photo of a poster/print I would like to have, by Pascal LeCoq, the "painter of blue." He paints scuba scenes. I have one autographed print of his, and I would like to have this one, too ...

Sorry to double post. This is the print that I own -- it is about 3 feet by 2 or something. I love it because I have felt just like the diver, going down, down, down ...

Thank you! I met Pascal at a trade show, and that was my favorite print he had on display that I could afford, and he signed it for me. He also made a companion to it later, where the diver is on her way up from the bottom, so it looks almost the same but the diver is heading up. I like that one, too. But the big grouper I like because I have seen a giant grouper like that! (OK maybe not quite that big.) At the time, I wasn't doing photography, but I drew a picture of it later ... It was my first dive in the Cayman islands, and this gigantic grouper came right up in my face and let me pet him! Eh - Pascal certainly draws a better grouper than me!

Thank you! I discovered this sketch book of drawings I'd made of my life in the Caribbean -- I hadn't seen it in years and got a kick out of all the illustrations. I need to learn about shadows I think to make things look less flat ... Anyway, I had written lyrics to music I was listening to, back then, to go with each illustration. That particular one is from an old song by the Rolling Stones from the "Steel Wheels" album. I think it is called Mixed Emotions, but I could be wrong.

When I went to Cayman, I was not aware that there were groupers that big which were actually quite tame, so I was a bit shocked when a fish bigger then me came right up in my face, but then when I reached out to touch it, and it stayed, I was delighted. Hence the mixed emotions!

The one below is my drawing of Stingray City. It's a popular shalow dive site on Grand Cayman where you take a bag of dead squid under with you, and the stingrays come and you feed them. But they are big and fat, and they are thugs and try to knock you over so they can grab the whole bag of squid. I am the dive master in the photo, staying well away from the rays with no squid in my hands! The tourists are the ones getting mobbed by the rays. :)
