  • I saw you mention bad-guy acting. We do indeed need villains. But I've been hoping NOT to allow any sense that players here are AGAINST each other. So I prefer that anyone who plays an evil character, ALSO plays at least one good character. (With so few of us, it makes sense anyway for all to play multiple people.)

Instead of trying to have "judge combat" (which was handled VERY BADLY by the judges of the short-lived Narnian roleplays), I'm trying to improvise a more "literary" system in which, as a storytelling device, we "lose" characters from time to time, but MAIN characters are not lightly discarded. When you read what has happened so far, you will see that I had an important good guy die already. Speaking of reading, you WILL read all the background, won't you?
sounds good! you should talk to Copperfox about where your bad guy can fit it.. thanks for joining!
nice to meet you Charlie:) well, medieval characters:) would you rather be a good-guy or a bad-guy?
you can call me Elaine if you'd like:) yup, you're talking to the right person:) you can certainly join!!! have you already thought of a character?
Please look at my new Writing Club story, "Theocrites the Archer." It is a prelude to the Knights and Ladies roleplay, and happens before anything else that has been written.
It is on this forum, but is "isolated" by the social-group function. And the roleplay is already in progress, but in a "prologue" stage which leaves it still easy for people to join.
A sketch of the premise: Just as the Narnian world was colonized by Earthly humans, we imagine that another inhabitable parallel world is reached by Earth people. The original migrants either came over in medieval times, or else their descendants declined to a medieval level in technology. The Christian faith is remembered, and is practiced in four of the six civilized countries known to exist in this world.
Hello! Is there any chance of interesting you in joining the social group "Knights and Ladies"? A recent joiner, SusanII, is leading it.
Hello! I must share a secret, my username is inspired from you. I remember you saying something (I've forgotten what unfortunately), That touched me. I just wish I remembered.
I first wrote it because Dayhawk had invited people to write "original fairytales." My story depicts a hero in what Mr. Lewis would call a "pre-Christian" condition.
Say, did you ever read my "Iron Merchant" story? It is visible on the Writing Club queue, and is in my opinion a lively tale of heroics.
