My first wife, who is now up in Aslan's Country, homeschooled our daughter for three years. Eric and Cecilia Havens, the adoptive parents in my novel, are based on my wife and me (except that I'm not a healthcare professional, and my wife WAS).

Alipang Havens is a character in a real-world setting, not fantasy. His (adoptive) parents are based on my deceased first wife and me, though Alipang himself is purely imaginary. In real life, my first wife homeschooled our adopted _daughter_ for three years, and the fictional Alipang also gets the benefits of home schooling.

Did you ever read my "Alipang Havens" novel in Writing Club? For months now, I've been writing a sequel on the same thread as the original.
