This is the folio society edition that I just bought.

It is a book publisher which takes classic literature and releases quality editions of those books. Google them and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Another noticeable thing about the H&HB reference in TSC is that CS Lewis says he does not have the time to tell us the story right now - inferring that it has not already been told. Hence he anticipated that it would be published AFTER the Silver Chair.

Yes I think the publication order is best. Perhaps CS Lewis had a reason for publishing H&HB after TSC, feeling that is where it belonged.

They should be read in the order that they were written - the publication order.

Recently the English Heritage society stated that Enid Blyton's books are racist and xenophobic. The modern human society is in a state of re-evaluation.

To be fair I think that if The Chronicles were ever to be banned then there would be a lot of other books on the banned list too. The Narnia books are pretty meek compared to some of the literature out there.

I just bought my fifth collection of the chronicles. I love the various differences in the editions, from the covers to either B&W or colour illustrations within. Do you collect the books too? The picture below is the latest I bought. With the old 1960's covers.
