Do you think Susan ever made it to Aslan's Country?

The second half of Copperfox's argument is probably the right answer. Marriage and children would have been very complicating when it came to where they BELONGED. Look at Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame...what did Mole and River Rat...or for that matter Mr. Badger...do for a living? And...

Gene Kelly is the only dancer I ever wept for. He had made an appearance in a special on TV, and because he could no longer walk he was behind a podium...which in fact was holding him upright. And the curtains parted...there he was. Later...significantly later...I saw an excerpt from the movie...

What Do You Hope That Narnia Films Or Series Get Right?

Agreed, Lava. I get the horrible feeling that many movies made today from classic books try to dumb down the plot to account for modern short attention spans. Which, by the way, are not one of mankind's greater achievements.

LWW The significance of the (dead) blue bottle in wardrobe room

Or as a dead fly, how ABANDONED the room was.

LWW The significance of the (dead) blue bottle in wardrobe room

It was a fly. Period. Because it was laying on the sill. It is common in abandoned rooms to find where a fly tried to leave the room and kept hitting the glass over and over till it finally fell exhausted and died there on the sill. No other possible meaning of the word would convey that meaning.

What is the proper title for a Queen in abeyance, Joe? Your Suspended Majesty? ;-)

Do you think Susan ever made it to Aslan's Country?

I think Susan lost her queenship the moment she started portraying Narnia as a childish pretend game they used to play. I don't have queenship, and I don't feel condemned to Hell. Her not having queenship would not be a death sentence. Perhaps some light would be shed on this if we assume that...

    "lipstick, nylons and invitations"

I think the quote "not a friend of Narnia" put it succinctly. It does not imply that she was an enemy, but she was no longer any of the things that you expect from a friend. One is to talk as if all those adventures...even seeing the risen Lord...were just childish games. If you heard Mary or...

Revelation Paralleled with The Last Battle.

Some of the world ending events parallel those in Revelation because probably that would have to be the case. That said, I don't think everything in TLB was meant to directly parallel Revelation simply because they were two different historical events. Consider for a moment how two world wars on...

    Things you'd never noticed

Great question. Who says if the moon cooperates you can't have twelve 28-day months? Or if the days were longer, maybe 28 hours long rather than 24...you couldn't have fewer days than our earth and yet still have the same amount of hours in a year? Makes my stripes hurt.

That's just too strange...to see Ginger at Defense Technologies, Ltd., behind him a map of the world, talking with Rishda about the glories of the military-industrial complex.
