Yeah,I knew it,and that's so cool!!! :D C.S Lewis must have thought about that, don't ya think?

I know! How cool????
I'm writing a book about four children who have to go into a magical world (yes, based on narnia!), and the names are:

Roy--The Eldest:"Roi" means "King" in French--based on Peter
Leone/Leonessa--the twins: "Leone" is Lion in Italian and "Leonessa" is Lioness in Italian (yes, "Lion" b/c of Aslan)--based on Edmund and Susan
Helen--the youngest: "Helen/Helena" mean "Light" in Greek--based on Lucy

I really liked naming the characters: it's so much fun to see what this or that means in a ntoher language..:)

Oh, yeah, and in French (one of the best languages--I take it at school, which is how I know this): if you break "Fleur Delacour" down, it is "Fleur de la cour"-- Fleur means flower, de la, means of the (feminine) and cour means court (it is feminine)
so, "Fleur Delacour" means "flower of the court"...:)
JKR says she wanted to impose the impression that Fleur is of "royalty" (or somthing like it)--and Fleur is a Veela, a beautiful-unless-it's-angry creature, also the Bulgarian Quidditch Team Mascot...:)

I'am turk.
Turkish Delight very beautifull :) :)

OK: Nothing to do with the chronicles of narnia but....

Did you know that in French, "Vol de mort" (voldemort) means "Thief of Death"? or "Flight from Death"?
That's intresting seeing as Voldemort from the Harry Potter series seeks to be immortal with the help of Horocruxes!
