I really have'nt seen a thread like this, so I hope it's okay. Instead of having dozens of other threads about D.C. Comic Heroes. I Thought it might be best to combine them. So anything and everything D.C. related, this is the place . .

Wait...is the DC Hawkeye the same Hawkeye from Marvel, or are they different w/ just the same name? Anyway, I voted Batman because I grew up watching Batman with Adam West and Burt Ward (love the show!) but aside from that, could care less about DC. The only other superhero movie I've seen of DC was Superman Returns (2006) which was B-O-R-I-N-G.

Haahaa! I'm so sorry, did I put Hawkeye. I meant Hawkman. Dumm Dumm me. Guess I got my fictional heroes mixed up there.

Well, I have fond memories of the old Batman show. That was pretty fun back in the day. But you've never seen Superman I & II, or Chris Nolan Batman?

I'm old enough to have seen DC comics of the Fifties and Sixties. Back then, except for their war comics like Sergeant Rock, they had NO CONCEPT AT ALL of portraying characters with believable feelings. Like, really, the superhero storywriters then must have lived in a cave and never met any other people. Nothing that Clark Kent or Lois Lane or Jimmy Olsen did was convincing as human behavior.

That was why Marvel was able to make a big splash in the Sixties: its superheroes actually had PERSONALITIES.

Haha, that's okay. :)

No, I've never seen Superman I and II, or the Chris Nolan trilogy. I have no desire to, especially considering the previous Batman film contributed to Heath Ledger's demise.

I adore the superheroes, all except Batman. I couldn't ever get into him and the recent films creeped me out.

I've got a soft spot for Superman/Clark Kent, since he was my introduction to them all and I love the early comics of him, Superman (the 70s Christopher Reeve film; didn't care for the sequels), Superman Returns, and, my favorite, Smallville. :D

I also LOVE Green Arrow/Oliver Queen, especially Smallville's version of him. He was exactly as I'd pictured him.

My absolute favorite superhero, ever, though, is Daredevil.

I am dying right now because I had these exact same thoughts in the exact same order! That's weird! I voted batman too ><

A Darker and More Mature Justice League?

untitled_2.png

Thanks to the very recent success of Marvel Studio’s Box office explosion,“The Avengers”, there’s really no reason for Warner Bros. Studio not to finally get cracking on their own version of that little superhero team-up, the Justice League, as would probably be expected. With yesterday’s exciting news announcement that Warner Bros is indeed, moving forward on a “Justice League” movie project, rumors are finally starting to stir about what we can expect from this big live-action take on D.C.’s superhero team romp . .

I voted Batman.

I know nothing outside the movies (the old ones, too, though. I love Jack Nicholson's Joker so much), and a couple episodes of the Adam West TV show.

But he's still my favourite.

I guess because he's human. He's got all these gadgets, but he doesn't actually have any powers.

Ha Gang, some more recent news . . .

Justice League Delayed?

Well, it seems the upcoming “Justice League” isn’t catching any breaks. The ensemble superhero adventure, which is meant to bring together all of D.C Comics’s most iconic heroes, was originally given a 2015 release date by Warner Bros. The studio said they were waiting to see how Man of Steel fared at the box office before officially green lighting the project. This was followed by news that the screenplay by Will Beall (Gangster Squad) was

I voted for Batman. However, I must qualify this as I do not like the recent Batman movies. The Batman I am voting for is the 1960s version played by Adam West, with Burt Ward as Robin The Boy Wonder. Alright, I know they are extremely camp and silly, but that is the version I enjoy most. I also find the 1943/49 Batman serials (in black and white) very enjoyable too, which were made before I was born (1950).

I love the West series too. Always enjoy it when it's on t.v. I mean who does'nt? ;)

Adam West and his voice of course will always be Batman too me as I not only grew up watching the Adam West show, but also the wonderful cartoons, as he voiced Batman in the 70's & 80's.

Jayce's Fun Overview of Superman: The Movie

supermanthemoviebyjayce_3.png

To date, Richard Donner’s Superman remains the quintessential film that all other superhero movie’s are measured by. Developed by Godfather scribe Mario Puzo with reverence for the venerable superhero, Superman pays homage to the legend’s mythology without losing sight of the character’s humanity. Other superhero movies have attempted to recapture the feel and intent of Superman: the movie, but only few film’s in recent yrs. have come close to the scale, grandeur & quality of it . . .

And Adam West and Burt Ward were also Batman and Robin in a cinema film, taking on The Joker, The Penguin, The Riddler and Catwoman, who had joined forces in order to carry out a nefarious plot to kidnap the U.N Security Council, and hold them to ransom, by means of a Total Dehydrating machine they had stolen.
