Aslan...Bigger?

A lot of people have noted and spotted that Aslan is bigger in the SuperBowl teaser then he was in the Trailer. I watched both trailers and saw the caps of them and I have to say, it does look like they worked on him more. What do you guys think?

His mouth is wider and it looks like they fiddled with his fur coloring. He looks bigger all over.

Do you guys think he looks bigger and which version do you prefer?

Hm...I like the 2nd image more. He looks more golden and royal.

But isnt he supposed to seem bigger anyways? He seemed bigger to Lucy in the book.
 
Asland Bigger?

Yeah it says in the book that when Lucy gets bigger, Aslan gets bigger. I'm glad anyway because in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe he looked a lot smaller than I thought he'd be.

I thought he looked bigger too, though, in the second image it's zoomed in a bit more--so that might throw my perception off. Anyway, I do hope he's bigger in PC because of what the book says.
 
I am glad Aslan's bigger because when Lucy meets him again she mentions that he has become bigger to which he tells her that it is because Lucy has grown up. Bigger the better!
 
I agree, if they have made him bigger it would fit the story. I've always loved when Aslan says he's bigger because Lucy is older. It would be nice if they kept that in.

Or maybe this whole issue is just the director and CG people imitating Lucy's confusion over Aslan's size in VDT ("the size of an elephant...the size of a cart-horse"). ;)
 
I've noticed that the whole color scheme is way different than the first. Maybe the darker, deeper colors are adding to the more majestic effect in the second pic... :p That's just a guess...
 
In LWW they talked about that in the extras. They actually increased his size by 5% in LWW after the resurrection scene. They didn't want to start him out too big in LWW since he's supposed to get bigger and bigger in each book. I'm sure for MN and HHB he will be smaller or closer to the size he was in LWW. They intend to make him bigger each time, but they don't want him so big in the first movies that he seems unreal or unbelievable. By the time LB comes around he will be huge I'm sure.
 
That's way cool. I like that. At least they are staying true to that aspect of the stories. That's a good sign.
