After saying 'MERHABA'
you can say 'NASILSIN?' which means 'How are you?'
:)

He may have done a lot of studying on ancient cultures (i.e. Roman, Greek, etc.) which is where many of his creatures in Narnia came from. Turkish Delight also originated in Turkey, but you can find it here in the U.S. under the name of aplets or cotlets. I think it's nasty, but my mom loves it. It's the U.S. equivalent of the real Turkish Delight. I also knew Aslan meant lion in Turkish.

Yep. We know who the Ottomans were. There was the Great siege of Malta in 1565. It was us and the Knights of Saint John against the Ottomans. Suleyman was the emperor at that time. It's part of our history and instead of "Merhaba" we say "Merhba" here. It means welcome. I didn't know about Aslan though.
