I've seen this photo in comingsoon.net,cate blanchett plays as agent Irina Spalko, a villainous Russian agent. "Indy always has a love-hate relationship with every woman he ever comes in contact with," Frank Marshall explained :rolleyes:

not to offend the actor, but she's kinda....ugly in that photo. Why couldn't they keep her beautiful like in LOTR and Elizabeth???? :( Kinda cool though that she's playing a villain this time, lol. I want to see it because it has her in it. :D

I considered Cate Blanchett spectacularly beautiful as Galadriel. But there are some people who seemingly like to "vandalize" beauty, even their own. It wasn't long after doing the LOTR films that Blanchett posed for a magazine cover with some horrid gothic-zombie makeup on.

Meanwhile, I hope that the new I.J. movie does NOT try to pretend that Indy is no older than he was in "Last Crusade." There's no reason why they can't work WITH his aging, just as Obi-Wan Kenobi was still a hero in old age. I would like to see Short Round here as an adult martial artist, picking up the combat slack for his old foster-father.
