Dancing Lawn / Prancing Pony

Another interesting connection: Lewis named the main horse in The Horse and His Boy - Bree - after the town of Bree in the Lord of the Rings. This was a tribute to his friend J.R.R. Tolkien.

And how about The Moon and Hare Inn? Come in, grab a pint with the lads and play skollers by the fire. Services strictly for cash, no credit allowed.

Call NARNIA 3921 and ask for Thorny. :D

Gah! Can't believe I still haven't read the LotR. Everyone here seems to have read them.

The Moon and Hare inn? Is that in LotR? Moonwood the hare?

That's pretty neat, I never noticed that before. Maybe when I get a new pet I'll name it Bree as a tribute to both of them :D

Btw Aaron your banner is beautiful! Haldir's the best :D

Tazzy...you should try to read it. It is awesome! And maybe it is not a real similarity but what about the rings? The Rings in Lewis his books and the Rings in Tolkien his books. Not the Evil ring! They both used Rings.
And in Tolkien his books the Ents are talking and in Lewi his books there were talking animals.

I've read 'The Hobbit'. I loved it. But LotR's seems so long... but I think I'll give it a go! I'm really curious..
