Did Reepicheep Basically Die in Voyage of the Dawn Treader?

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot and sorry for so many threads, these were just ideas I had recently...

So, in Voyage of the Dawn Treader Reepicheep decides to go to Aslan's country which I thought was basically heaven. I know Reepicheep didn't actually die but I am wondering more symbollically. Sorry if this doesn't make sense.

I did always kind of view it as like Enoch or Elijah. He's taken away without actually dying, so the technical answer to your question is no. But it's complicated. ;)

As would I - I think Timmy and GG have the idea here. This isn't the only Lewis work where this happens, either. At the end of That Hideous Strength the protagonist Elwin Ransom is taken to Perelandra (Venus) to live forever. He doesn't die, unless you consider his ordeal with the Unman on Perelandra and his passage through the underworld of that planet to be a "death" (which I think was Lewis' intent.)
