Have the DVD, seen it in theaters. I don't know how many times though. Everyone who saw it said it "sucked"
How dare they! It's sad that some people's minds have been polluted and they can never appreciate good stories like that. :( Or at least, I think it's sad. Of course, I think everyone should be an obsessive Narnian, so maybe I'm just a little biased

Critic's choice?

Many film critics had nothing good to say about the film. These same critics usually won't give a 'thumbs up' to a film unless it involves a love story set in the (usually risque) backdrop of a major social issue. Translations: If the critics pan the film, it's probably pretty good (as was LWW)!

Yeah I've seen the movie I don't know how many times and I never get tired of it in the least. Anyway, welcome aboard Miley Cyrus Fan to our forum.

I was under the impression that the critics actually raved about the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Tim. So they didn't?

I never listen to what the film critics say anyways. They panned a lot of films I thought ( and the majority of moviegoers thought) were excellent films.

I don't read critics much for the reason you cite below. This is what a friend of mine (who is generally critical of the film to begin with) told me. I do know the film got plenty of positive review-- a lot of it is posted here and on Narniaweb.

LOTS of examples of that!! One I like to point out is Independence Day. The critics hated it. The film went on to be one of the top grossing films of all time.
