Okay, then, departing entirely from the lovable Horton, here's a fragment from "Scrambled Eggs Super":

A guy who wrote children's books.Some of his best known are "Green Eggs and Ham" and "Horton hears A Who".They're all told in a silly,cute rhyming style.:D
 
Dr. Seuss was the pen name for Theodore Geisel, Seuss being his mother's maiden name. He was a man who revolutionized the type of books used to help teach children to read. He wrote simply scads of books - 130+ - and was very particular about the colors used in the illustrations he provided to go with his rhyming, entertaining boderline-nonsense tales. He loved to wear bow-ties, lived in an observatory, and kept a collection of hats he would put on for creative inspiration. There are probably a number of good biographies on him online if you look around. He also published some titles under the name of "Theo LeSeig" (Geisel backwards).

His best known stories are probably How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Horton Hears a Who, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Fox in Socks, The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham, but there are always other favorites depending on who you talk to.

Can you tell I used to do a presentation on Dr. Suess' Birthday for first and second graders? ;)
