Duffers from VotDT

In VotDT, Duffers were little dwarf-men who only agree. But then they got turned into Monopods, and they had one big foot on a leg, and if laying on their backs, they looked like mushrooms. They were renamed Dufflepods. Just in case anyone didn't know...
But here's the question: Besides being pretty silly and goofy, how else are we Duffers like C.S. Lewis' Duffers? We don't really have a cheif, do we?

We are like the Duffers in a couple ways. We're very self-concious, like the duffers (thought they were ugly) and we act like lemmings, paying heed to a few people. If 50 Cent "pops his collar," soon everyone else is. If Paris Hilton wears pink, so does everyone else.
 
Well, there are several similarities - random goofiness, perhaps, and a tendency to over-wordiness. We also think much of ourselves. The line gets drawn somewhere, though - for instance, if I were a real duffer, I might move this thread out of Dufferland into one of the Fan Club or theological forums. But I'm not that much of a duffer.
