There are a couple of different editions of this series in the market. The one I like the best so far is the Harper Collins hardcover set.

Easton Press recently came out with a cost-no-object leather bound edition.

The Easton books are somewhat smaller in size then the Harper Collins. I do not know if the print size in the Easton set is any smaller or not.
Of the paperback editions, the Harper Collins is the best I have seen. Still, one is much better off getting a hardcover verison, the quality of paper and print is so much better. I don't see the paperback sets lasting too long, if one re-reads these books often. I have the feeling once the movie comes out and does well, new editions of The Chronicles will flood the market.
