Hello ^^

I just wanted to know if there are some people from England. I´m working as an Au Pair here since 2 month and would like to know a few more people.
I´m living near Faversham and Canterbury.
Someone else? :D
 
I live in England, but a fair way from Canterbury. I'm in Hampshire, which is about.... 2 and a half hours from there? something like that. I go up to London a fair bit, too, because it's easy access from my town.
 
Well techinically my home is Leeds which is england not London for you Americans, but currently I live near High Wycombe, which is also in England, not London for you Americans
 
Look in my location and you'll see. I may be in the Midlands but everyone here talks like a Northerner, (Although I think they include Scotland with the middle thing) so I don't say things like darnce or charnce, I say dance or chance in the same way you Americans do, but in a Derbyshire accent (When we say an A it doesn't go on forever...).

For anyone who cares Chesterfield is a few miles south of Sheffield.
 
And it has a really cool spire on the church in the centre and its on the trainline from Leeds to Birmingham

I'm assumming you mean St.Mary's R.C. church, A.K.A. the crooked spire. It's actually further east than west, so it's not really middle. We're also quite close to 4 airports (leeds-bradford, east midlands, manchester and robin hood), a center parcs (Sherwood forest), alton towers and some good schools.
 
OKay, I have a question. Do you have to go through Security in England( ie Metal Detectors) at airports? Because we have to over here, and I HATE it! :mad: :mad:

All countries I can think of has metal detectors at their airports. Though security in America and Australia is just insane compared to the rest ;)
 
Sorry to hear that living in America brings you down. You can either be put out in the airport or terrified on the airplane. I'd rather face an airport screener than a terrorist any day.
