I saw the Eragon movie last night, and on teh poreviews for the movies to come, there was one and it began that a lady was walking towards the wardrobe, and then she opened it and toys fell out!!

If any of you have seen the Scary Movies series, like Scary Movie 3 or 4 or anything, then that is waht this movie pretty much is, except it made me sorta mad cuz it was making fun of LWW. Mr. Tumnus was a alcoholic partying dude, and Lucy was just.....not....lucyish..(made that one up..*cough* IDK..it jsut sorta bothered me......sorry if this is.....spamming or anything(CAn't think of the other words for something like this....pfft...)

Well, there's actually already a thread like this, but, since I'm posting:

They're just poking fun at big movies. They do it to blockbuster hit. It's just for kicks and giggles. I thought it was pretty funny, actually, From what I saw in the preview. They weren't insulting Aslan or the deep religious roots of Narnia. If they did that, then there's no way I'd go see it myself (And I'm a big fan of the scary movies/date movie/ect.).
If it really bothers you, then you don't have to go see it. It's that simple, really. But, I don't think it's such a big deal.

Gah...I can't believe they made fun of Narnia...why I outta! But I do have to admit, it looked pretty funny, and I might have to see it cuz it makes fun of Harry Potter. (if ya'll didn't know, I'm not a fan of Harry Potter)

I was so mad at my brother when he laughed at the Narnia parts of the trailer! I would have hurt him but we were at a movie theater so I didn't. I didn't find any of it funny though. It just bothered me a lot!

lol, I don't get it. Why is it such a big deal?
Am I the only person here that doesn't have a problem with this movie?:confused:

umm...how did they make fun of Narnia?
 
I thought it as for CAspian at first, cuz it showed the snow and tehn the wardrobe and was saying like "Magic can happen. Yo ucn go to a world unlike any other...." etc..etc....but then Lucy came on and she was a grown up and I was like"Dude...that ain't Lucy!!!" and my dad was just laughing at me cuz I was a little slow figuring it out I guess....

I thought the thing with Mr. Tumnus was hilarious. I bet my friends are going to start saying that I'm like that Mr. Tumnus. :D
Its just a joke people. And even if it was making fun of Narnia. It was making fun of the movie, which was BASED off Narnia. Not the actual Narnia. Its just fun and games. I see the pirates aren't making a huge fuss about the Pirates of the Carribian part.

that's what I thought too!:p

*cough* I guess it isn't that bad but I was like omgish what the heck! when I saw it...its crazy weird...but like I said, I might see it because I think it looks funny...BESIDES the Narnia part...though I do admit it looked a bit funny.
 
I thought it looked hilarious, and I'm a Narnia Fanatic. Though, Tumnus made me squemish...the female fauns, anyway. That annoyed me. But making fun of big movies? LETS DO THIS! I make fun of myself all the time for loving books/movies. Besides, the movie Narnia wasn't all that great. Good but not Great.
