Eustace at the Lone Island

When Eustace was at the Lone ISand, Caspain got his freedom for slaery. Yet Eustace gave hism no thanks for this.

Do you think this is like when people regect what Jesus did for them on the cross? Jesus has, by paying the ultamite price, sacured our freedom for the slavary of sin. Yet some people dont acept this and scoff at Jesus.

Completely different. Eustace was upset because he felt that Caspian had been having fun all the time while they were being held by the slavers. He was just an ungrateful brat at that point not thinking of anyone but himself.

I don't think that you would call getting crucified as a fun activity.

I think what Narborg was trying to get at was a little different but kind of the same too.

Caspian basically gave Eustace his freedom back, yet Eustace stubbornly refused to acknowledged he had done so. *ignore the fun activity comment made by Eustace*

Jesus did the same for us on the cross, yet most of us, even Christians, don't take time to thank Him for it. More horrible is those who refuse that ultimate gift of love.

Yes, but that not all of whats going on.

Caspian overthrew a corrupt government without a single drop of blood spilled. There was no sacrifice made. No one had to suffer except for Eustace, Lucy, Edmund, and Reep and all of the other slaves.

This is exactly the opposite of the Jesus story. A people suffer until a king releases them from bondage at no cost to him, in fact, at his benefit. His friend becomes the Duke of the land and he takes his other friends with him on a longer voyage.

I understand where you are coming from, but the circumstances are all wrong. And by the way, Mrs. Kenobi, I take umbrage with your last statement. Tis not horrible. For me, it is very spiritually satisfying not to travel a blind path.

True, but Im not saying it's a pefrect allagroy, or that all the cercmsatances are the same, just Eustaces refuseal to be thankful for what hes done. I agree, the only person in TCON to make such a safafuse was Alsan.
