Chapter 1: Farafax's Calling
"Farafax....Farafax...."
There appeared to be a voice calling to him. It was a calm voice, soft and gentle.
Farafax raised his head slightly, his dreary eyes staring off into the distance.
There was a figure bathed in white, the features were hazy because Farafax was still drowsy from his sleep but there was no doubt in his mind the voice had belonged to the figure in white.
"Dear Farafax, listen to me," stated the wispy voice kindly.
Farafax did not really have a choice, his keen hearing was something he was proud of. Then again, most foxes prided upon their heightened senses.
"You will go to the nearest Kingdom, warn the King and Queen. Tell them I have sent you as my messanger," stated the voice, the white figure hovering as if by air, the white garment swaying majesticlly with the slight wind.
Now Farafax was able to see slightly more clearly, he noticed the figure was a woman, her white hair flowing in the same direction of her long white dress. There was a glow about her, her blue eyes streaking out like dazzling stars.
Farafax was a mere fox, he was old enough to know better then to argue with a woman so lovely. He slowly stood up on his four legs and his pale red tail flicked slightly, knocking some dust off the brushy tuff of his tail.
