Does any one have a favorite author or poet? I do not because I like too many authors; however, I do have a favorite poet. It is Shel Silverstein.

When I was a child my favorite author was Rudyard Kipling. Now I must say I have favorite authors in each of the different types of literature.

Spiritual/Fantasy: C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity / The Chronicles of Narnia)
Local Color: Jack London (Call of the Wild)
True Adventure: Jacques Cousteau (The Silent World)
Romance: Emily Bronte (Wuthering Heights)
Science as Literature: Jacob Brownowski (The Ascent of Man)
Science Fiction: Arthur C. Clarke (2001: A Space Odyssey)
True Crime: Truman Capote (In Cold Blood)

All of these very highly recommended as classics that may change the course of your life.
